Bottling Plant

Overview: A bottling company in Minnesota discharges some 6000 gallons per day of wash down water with a BOD5 of 40,000 – 70,000 mg/L. The material is too strong for the local wastewater treatment plant to process and must be trucked off site.

Solution: Design/build an aerobic onsite treatment system using MBD Aeration to reduce strength to 1000 mg/L BOD5 and allow local discharge. The system includes bioreactors, automatic ph adjustment, nutrient addition, flow equalization, sludge handling, online controls and monitoring and continuous effluent monitoring and sampling.
